Task

Your task is to find out as much as you can about solar and lunar eclipses. You need to look at what causes a solar eclipse and how this differs from a lunar eclipse.

Use the websites outlined below to find as much as you can about eclipses. In particular look at the differences between solar and lunar eclipses. Make notes and draw diagrams of the eclipses. Using these notes produce detailed diagrams to show how the two eclipses differ. When you have done this, you must describe what happens when there is a total eclipse of the sun.

When you look at websites you must remember that not all the information is useful. First scan the text to see if you can find anything you can understand on warm blooded animals. This will help you to read just the relevant information.

Some websites are better than others. If you do not like one then move on to another.

Also, you will come across complex technical words that you will not understand. Ignore these and look for information that you do understand.
