Selective breeding

Many species have been changed by humans through artificial selection. Last weekend I was invited by my old pal Geoff Capes to the North Walsham small birds show where I did a bit of judging. What an interesting life I lead. Here I am:

Lucky I had my binoculars handy. This first bird is the original wild type canary:

Look at the diversity of the birds that have been artificially selected from this form of the canary:

Common or cage singing canary... evil hunchback canary....           orange canary....

This is actually a Norwich canary...                             white canary.....

60's beatles canary...                                           the champ.

The sprowston BLUE.
