Biology competition.

What animal is this? Not many people know about it. It comes from China, but has been introduced into the Norfolk Broads. In fact, apart from China, this is the only place it lives. I found this one dead at the side of the road near Sprowston Golf Club. It was 1 metre long and it's tooth was 5.2cm long. The teeth are used by males to fight aggresively over females. Email the doc on doctor_sanderson@yahoo.co.uk if you know what it is: you might gain a gold credit.

Well done to Paul Binns for producing the best guess at the last competition. He even emailed the answer. The answer was: I'm not really sure (not being sure often happens in science!) but I think it was water expanding upwards and freezing as it went to produce the ice toblerone. Any other suggestions appreciated.
